God Wants You To Grow Up

Galatians 4:1 (GWT) As long as an heir is a child, he is no better off than a slave, even though he owns everything.
If you had a 5 year old son, would you let him drive your car? There is physical immaturity and there is also spiritual immaturity.
As long as you remain a child spiritually , you will sleep with any woman that appeals to you, as long as you remain a child spiritually you will spend your money any how, as long as you remain a child spiritually you will get angry anytime someone provokes you,as long as you remain a child spiritually you will go to the club all night on Saturday and sleep on Sunday.
God doesn't bless us because of our efforts, it is grace that speaks but He does demand that we should be responsible managers of the resources and grace He commits to us.
God wants to promote but you but He is looking at how you are living your life. You are actually the head of that company, you are actually the richest amongst your friends but God is watching your habits and He knows that if He sends you that promotion or that money right now, you may self destruct and disgrace Him because everyone knows you are a christian.
You can't really tell how born again you are until you have more than you want, until you can enter a shop and not bother about the price tag, until you can go anywhere in the world anytime you want. Would you still be very close to God when money is not a problem?
Would you be at Tuesday service when you can be in Las Vegas? Would you still be faithful to your wife when all the ladies smile at you as though you are diamond jewellery?
If you have been faithful in managing money and keeping yourself pure and managing your emotions and creating time for the presence of God, He will promote you in due course.
We are all guilty of being irresponsible managers of the money, gift and access that God has given us. May God help us all in Jesus name.
