Matthew 27: 50-51 (NIV) And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud
voice, He gave up His Spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn
in two from top to bottom.
Before the death and resurrection of Jesus, only the high
priest could enter the Holy of Holies and even at that, a rope with a bell was
tied to his leg just in case something happened to him and he had to be pulled
out.
But when Jesus died, the veil that separated the Holy of
Holies from the rest of the temple was torn; that
was the end of the protocol and the distance between divinity and humanity.
Now you and I can approach God anytime, anywhere, anyhow and
especially when we are not even worthy to be in His presence. The bible says in
Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) : So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need
it most.
I tell you that right after that sin that makes you feel
dirty is when you should come to the presence of God! You promised God to stay
away from sex and then it happened again, that's the time to come to God's
presence. You have been trying not to smoke cigarettes and weed but you just
did, that's the time to come to God's presence. Did you just commit an abortion
and you feel like a murderer? that's the time to come to God's presence! The
bible says: "Though your sins are bright red, they will become as white as
snow. Though they are dark red, they will become as white as wool" (Isaiah
1:18 GSW).
It doesn't matter what you just did, God is waiting for
you with outstretched arms. The devil's biggest lie is that your sins cannot be
forgiven that is a lie! Come to Jesus, He will cleanse you and give you a brand
new start.
Come, come, come, He is waiting for you, don't refuse His
mercy, come to Jesus today, tell Him "Lord Jesus I confess my sins,
cleanse me and give me a brand new beginning". Amen
