Matthew 5:8 (MSG) “You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your
mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
If you were a banker, you dare not go to work with jeans
and t shirt on Monday, if you were to travel out of your country, you would
need a passport.
The same way, if you want to experience God, your heart
and your mind must be pure and free of all the sins listed in Romans
1:29-31(NLT): Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception,
malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent,
proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their
parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and
have no mercy.
The human mind gravitates towards the things of the flesh but you must
discipline your mind by the word of God. Gossiping and envy has kept you from
the presence, unforgiveness has kept you from the presence of God. You cannot
live this life alone, you need God.
Take a minute, ask the Holy Spirit to help you walk
closer with Him from this moment on.
